Baseball Game Preview: Florence Huskies vs. Sierra Stallions

The Florence Huskies will square off against the Sierra Stallions at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Florence has three straight victories, Sierra has 13 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Last Wednesday, Florence got the win against Mitchell by a conclusive 18-8. Fans of the Huskies have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Ayden Jennings was incredible, going 4-for-5 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits. The team also got some help courtesy of Brenan Lambert, who scored two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Sierra fell victim to Pueblo South and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Colts, falling 20-0.

Sierra's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Florence, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.

Everything went Florence's way against Sierra in their previous matchup back in March of 2018, as Florence made off with a 12-0 victory. Does Florence have another victory up their sleeve, or will Sierra turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
