Soccer Recap: Pocahontas County Triumphs

Pocahontas County's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They never let the Notre Dame Fighting Irish get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. Even though Pocahontas County got in a bit of trouble with the refs ( Luke Taylor was handed a red card), the team managed to overcome the adversity.

Pocahontas County's one-goal win came courtesy of Quincy Sharp, which was the first he's scored this season.

Pocahontas County's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Notre Dame, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Pocahontas County wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 5-2 victory against Petersburg on the 8th. As for Notre Dame, they have also already played their next match, a 4-1 win against South Harrison on the 8th.
