Frewsburg waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They blew past the Chautauqua Lake Eagles 12-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-2 on Tuesday.

Mason Eckman made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Eckman was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played.

In other batting news, Chase Haglund was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played. Maddox Sheesley was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Frewsburg kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in five consecutive games.

Frewsburg pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Chautauqua Lake, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
