D'Evelyn has gone 8-2 against Standley Lake recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Jaguars will look to defend their home court against the Gators at 6:30 p.m.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times D'Evelyn and Evergreen have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. The Jaguars lost 3-0 to the Cougars. The loss continues a trend for the Jaguars in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost three in a row.

D'Evelyn was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-12, 25-16.

Despite the defeat, D'Evelyn saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Chelyn Kwon had 13 digs and two assists. Arianna Griffin also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Meanwhile, Standley Lake entered their tilt with Wheat Ridge on Monday with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. They blew past the Farmers 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-4, 25-11.

Standley Lake's victory bumped their record up to 16-2. As for D'Evelyn, their loss dropped their record down to 6-12.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's match: D'Evelyn has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 9.1 aces per game. However, it's not like Standley Lake struggles in that department as they've been averaging 10.4 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
