Basketball Recap: Intermountain Christian Comes Up Short

Intermountain Christian lost against Rockwell back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Intermountain Christian Lions were beaten by the Rockwell Marshals 83-39. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Noah Hillaker and Dillon Cook certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Hillaker posted ten points and seven boards, while Cook scored ten points. That's the most points Cook has posted since back in January of 2024.

Rockwell got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Isaac Christiansen out in front who went 8 for 11 on his way to 21 points and four steals. Christiansen's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Elias Sekona was another key player, going 7 of 9 en route to 15 points in addition to six assists and five steals.

Intermountain Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Rockwell, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-11.

Intermountain Christian will square off against Merit Preparatory Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. Rockwell has already played their next contest, a 53-46 victory against San Juan on the 18th.
