Football Recap: Port Allen Wins Going Away Against Collegiate

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Michael, Port Allen was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They never let Collegiate get on the board and left with a 26-0 victory. That 26 point margin sets a new team best for the Pelicans this season.

With the win, Port Allen broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-6. As for Collegiate, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Looking ahead, Port Allen will host University Lab at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cubs' defense has only allowed 13.6 points per game this season, so the Pelicans' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Collegiate, they are taking a road trip to challenge Metairie Park Country Day at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Collegiate will be up against the Cajuns' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
