Meanwhile, Futures blew past Forest Lake Christian, posting an 89-57 win. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.
Futures' win came from a few key players Sacramento Waldorf will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Chris Collins, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 boards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 8.4 rebounds per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Lewis, who went 11 of 20 en route to 28 points and seven boards.
Futures smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 15 consecutive games.
Sacramento Waldorf pushed their record up to 16-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.5 points per game. As for Futures, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Sacramento Waldorf has been crashing the rebounds this season, having averaged 24.2 boards per game. However, it's not like Futures struggles in that department as they've been averaging 39.9 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
