Kearns was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 40-13 loss at the hands of the Taylorsville Warriors. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Cougars have suffered against the Warriors since August 22, 2014.

Cole Kramer was his usual excellent self, rushing for 116 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries, while also throwing for 205 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.7% of his passes for Taylorsville. 98 of those passing yards were hauled in by Kobe Allen, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Kearns' loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Taylorsville, their victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-3.
