Flag Football Game Preview: Casteel Colts vs. Higley Knights + Official Tickets

The Casteel Colts are taking a road trip to square off against the Higley Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Casteel is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering O'Connor just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 6-0 to the Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Colts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona flag football rankings (they are ranked 47th, while the Eagles are ranked eighth).

Even if they lost, Casteel's defense still kept up the pressure with four sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Keegan Doherty and Averie Gibson, who racked up all four sacks between them.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Higley's offense. They were dealt a 52-0 defeat at the hands of Campo Verde on Tuesday.

Higley's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Casteel, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Casteel couldn't quite finish off Higley when the teams last played back in October of 2024 and fell 14-12. Can the Colts avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
