Volleyball Recap: Manual Arts Takes a Loss

Manual Arts was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Santee Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Manual Arts sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 11-25, 25-16, 22-25, 15-10.

Samantha Lerma paced Manual Arts' offense, picking up 15 kills. Lerma got some help from Aeleen Flores and her 18 assists.

Manual Arts' loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Santee, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-7.

Manual Arts does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Santee, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Los Angeles at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
