Basketball Game Preview: King Abdullah Academy Falcons vs. Briar Woods Falcons

The King Abdullah Academy Falcons and the Briar Woods Falcons will round out the year against one another at at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. King Abdullah Academy has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 218 points over their last three matchups.

Having struggled with eight defeats in a row, King Abdullah Academy turned things around against Quantico on Tuesday. They blew past the Warriors 91-45. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Falcons have posted since January 22nd.

Meanwhile, Briar Woods ended up a good deal behind Heritage on Thursday and lost 55-41. The contest marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

King Abdullah Academy will have to keep a close watch on Devon Pettibone and Finn Gardner, a pair of players who had a big impact on Briar Woods' prior game. Pettibone posted 20 points, while Gardner put up nine points and five rebounds. Kaden Miles was another key player, putting up two points and seven boards.

This is the second loss in a row for Briar Woods and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for King Abdullah Academy, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-8.
