Preview: Chaffey Tigers vs. Chino Cowboys

Chaffey is 1-9 against Chino since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Chaffey Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Chino Cowboys at 3:30 p.m. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Even though Chaffey couldn't quite topple Montclair on Thursday, it was still a huge improvement compared to the seven-point defeat they took when the two last played. Everything went Chaffey's way against Montclair as Chaffey made off with a 7-1 victory. The win was just what Chaffey needed coming off of a 12-1 loss in their prior game.

Yolanda Eastburn made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Eastburn was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sophia Valdez, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Elizabeth Martinez was another key contributor, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Chino scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They never let Baldwin Park onto the board and left with a 17-0 victory. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded Chino with their most commanding win of the season.

Chaffey has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2-1 record this season. As for Chino, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-7.
