Wharton has gone a perfect 10-0 against Freedom recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Wildcats will take on the Patriots at 6:30 p.m.
Wharton managed to slip by Strawberry Crest the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Wildcats came up short against the Chargers on Wednesday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wildcats have suffered since September 10th.
The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Strawberry Crest scored at least 18 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-23, 25-18.

Despite the loss, Wharton had strong showings from Lauren Galfond, who had 16 assists and four digs, and Maliyah Battle, who had ten digs and two aces. Galfond is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 16 or more in each of the last three games she's played.
Meanwhile, Freedom made easy work of Hillsborough on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Terriers: they've now won five in a row.
One reason for the win was Freedom's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-15, 25-7.
Wharton better keep an eye on Averi Addison. She was instrumental in Freedom's win, getting 18 digs and ten assists. Those ten assists gave Addison a new career-high.
Wharton has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Freedom, their win bumped their record up to 9-2.
Everything went Wharton's way against Freedom in their previous matchup back in October of 2023, as Wharton made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
