Basketball Recap: Valentine Takes a Loss

Valentine lost against Marfa back in November, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Valentine Pirates were outmatched by the Marfa Shorthorns and fell 66-7. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Valentine's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Marfa, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Valentine will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Fort Davis at 6:00 p.m. on December 20th. As for Marfa, they will take on Immanuel Christian in a tournament on Thursday. Marfa's defense has only allowed 21.3 points per game this season, so Immanuel Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them.
