Volleyball Recap: Lower Merion Aces vs. Strath Haven Panthers

Lower Merion had taken Strath Haven down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Wednesday. The Aces fell 3-1 to the Panthers. If the Aces were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Panthers when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Lower Merion had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-21, 18-25, 25-21.

Eve Prince paced Lower Merion's offense, picking up ten kills. Prince got some help from Stevie Rothberg and her 33 assists. Prince was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Lower Merion's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Strath Haven, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lower Merion is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Cardinal O'Hara at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Strath Haven, they will venture away from home to challenge Upper Darby at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
