Basketball Recap: Mt. Shasta Bears vs. West Valley Eagles
Mt. Shasta lost against West Valley back in December of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Mt. Shasta Bears fell 61-54 to the West Valley Eagles.
It was another big night for Jordan Heacock, who dropped a double-double on 34 points and ten rebounds for West Valley. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Heacock has scored at least a third of West Valley's points. Another player making a difference was Zack Boemeke, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards.
Mt. Shasta now has a losing record at 7-8. As for West Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-7.
Mt. Shasta will take on Corning at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Valley, they will face off against Lassen at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Valley is facing Lassen at the right time seeing as Lassen is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
