Football Game Preview: Amite Warriors vs. Cohen Green Hornets

The Amite Warriors will host the Cohen Green Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Amite's defense has only allowed 9.6 points per game this season, so Cohen's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Amite is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Sumner just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Friday. They lost to the Cowboys at home by a 21-7 margin. Having soared to a lofty 47 points in the game before, the Warriors couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, Cohen got their first taste of in-conference action on Saturday and they started things off strong. They claimed a resounding 42-8 victory over Sarah T. Reed. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Green Hornets as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Amite's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 8-3. As for Cohen, their victory bumped their record up to 2-7.
