Football Recap: Greer Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Greer lost against Daniel back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Yellow Jackets lost 33-7 to the Lions. The game marked the Yellow Jackets' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Despite the loss, Greer still got an impressive performance from Calvin McCoy, who rushed for 146 yards and one TD while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. McCoy got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 75 yards. Greer also got help from Zay. Moseley, who showed off his sure hands for 97 receiving yards.

Even if they lost, Greer's defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Sammy White. He is becoming a predictor of Greer's success: when he posts at least one sack the team is 2-1 (and 2-5 when he doesn't).

Daniel's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kingsten Bibb led the charge by rushing for 98 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 11 carries, while also picking up 40 receiving yards. Trey Wimbley was another key player, picking up 197 receiving yards and one score.

This is the second loss in a row for Greer and nudges their season record down to 4-6. As for Daniel, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Greer has already played their next contest, a 38-20 defeat against Camden on the 7th. As for Daniel, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 14-10 victory against Dreher on the 7th.
