Volleyball Recap: Badger Takes a Loss

Badger was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Madison Memorial Spartans.

Meara Heiselmann paced Badger's offense, picking up five kills. Heiselmann really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with five. Laina Kirsch controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Madison Memorial was led to victory by Kayla Shelton and Stella Tomalin. Shelton had nine digs and two aces, while Tomalin had 16 assists and five digs. That's the most aces Shelton has posted over her last three matches.

Badger's defeat dropped their record down to 16-14. As for Madison Memorial, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-14.

Badger wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Amherst on the 11th. As for Madison Memorial, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Cuba City on the 11th.
