Basketball Recap: George County Takes a Loss

George County lost against Pascagoula back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The George County Rebels took a 59-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pascagoula Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 188th, while the Panthers are ranked 18th).

George County now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Pascagoula, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. George County will square off against North Forrest at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pascagoula, they will head out to take on Hancock at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
