Baseball Recap: Manitou Springs Comes Up Short

If Manitou Springs was feeling good fresh off their 14-1 takedown of Woodland Park last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Manitou Springs Mustangs came up short against The Classical Academy Titans on Thursday, falling 10-1. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Titans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Manitou Springs saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Frojen, who scored a run while going 1-for-4. That run was Frojen's first of the season.

Manitou Springs' loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-4. As for The Classical Academy, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Coming up, Manitou Springs will be taking part in a tournament against La Grande at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. As for The Classical Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mitchell at 1:00 p.m. on March 28th.
