Candlelight Christian Academy won the last time they faced Champions Christian Academy and things went their way on Thursday too. The Flames simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Lions 59-26. The Flames pushed the score to 57-13 by the end of the third, a deficit the Lions cut but never quite recovered from.

Candlelight Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gabriel Coste, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 11 boards. Those 18 points gave Coste a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ronald Cordero, who went 8-for-13 on his way to 16 points and four steals.

Candlelight Christian Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Champions Christian Academy only posted four.

Despite the loss, Champions Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Kurtis Colon, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten rebounds.

Candlelight Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Champions Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Candlelight Christian Academy and Champions Christian Academy will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Flames see the court they'll take on American Youth Academy at 6:30 p.m. on December 2. As for Champions Christian Academy, their break will end when they face Calvary City Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on December 4.
