Basketball Recap: Ralston Rams vs. Roncalli Catholic Crimson Pride
The Ralston Rams's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their tenth straight defeat. They were beaten by Roncalli Catholic 82-42. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Ralston in their matchups with the Crimson Pride: they've now lost four in a row.
Winner Mutoke and Richard Pena certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Mutoke scored 11 points, while Pena scored nine points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mutoke has scored all season.
Ralston dropped their record down to 2-17 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Roncalli Catholic, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-5.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing South Sioux City the next time they take the court. Roncalli Catholic will host South Sioux City on Saturday, while Ralston will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
