Baseball Recap: Galesburg Comes Up Short

Galesburg suffered their biggest defeat since March 21st on Monday. They lost 8-2 to the Moline Maroons. If the Silver Streaks were looking for revenge after losing 7-4 to the Maroons when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Galesburg saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyree Taylor, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Galesburg dropped their record down to 11-15 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Moline, they moved to 16-11 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

While Galesburg had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
