Basketball Recap: Life Center Academy Find Success

On Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, the Life Center Academy Warriors beat the Campus Magnet Bulldogs 69-63.

Rasheem Yon was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 13 assists. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in blocks (two). Jonathan Levasseur was another key player, going 6 for 8 on his way to 15 points.

Life Center Academy's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Campus Magnet, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Life Center Academy will venture away from home to square off against Cristo Rey Philadelphia at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Campus Magnet, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Queens Teaching at 5:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
