Volleyball Recap: Mary Pfaff's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Fallston over Bel Air

It was a proper cat-fight when Fallston faced off against Bel Air on Monday. The Cougars took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bobcats. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Bobcats: they've now lost three in a row.

Fallston couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Bel Air a tough time in the third set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-21, 28-30, 25-20.

Fallston's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mary Pfaff, who had 13 digs and three aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Chasan, who had 12 assists and two aces.

Fallston's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Bel Air, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Fallston will square off against North Harford at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bel Air, they will face off against North East at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
