Volleyball Recap: Grafton Clippers vs. Warren County Wildcats

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Grafton had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Warren County Wildcats. The Clippers are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 16 straight.

Grafton never let Warren County on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-16, 25-17.

Allyson Burke was nothing short of spectacular: she had 15 digs and five aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in October.

Grafton pushed their record up to 25-2 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home. As for Warren County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-7.

Grafton will stay at home for another game and welcome New Kent at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Warren County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
