Crosstown hasn't had much luck against Memphis Central recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Yetis will take on the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. Crosstown will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
While Crosstown's victory against University wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Yetis' defense stepped up to hand the Tigers a 1-0 shutout on Thursday. Given Crosstown's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 47th, while University are ranked 183rd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Crosstown's one-goal win came courtesy of Raphael King, who's now up to eight this season.
Meanwhile, Memphis Central didn't have quite enough to beat White Station on Friday and fell 3-2.
Crosstown's win bumped their record up to 10-0-2. As for Memphis Central, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6-1.
