Volleyball Recap: Evergreen Park Gets the Win

Evergreen Park's tournament run continued when they took on Proviso West on Saturday. The Mustangs came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Shannon Farrell paced Evergreen Park's offense, picking up six kills. Farrell got some help from Neve Hayes and her 17 assists. Hayes was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Evergreen Park's victory bumped their record up to 20-11. As for Proviso West, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season.

Evergreen Park wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Grayslake North on the 18th. As for Proviso West, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Woodstock on the 18th.
