Basketball Recap: Riverside Starts off Right with Win over MTI School of Knowledge

Riverside took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Saturday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 108-12 victory over MTI School of Knowledge. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 66-7.

Riverside had a senior duo take command as Cassidy Dash went 9-for-13 to rack up 23 points along with eight rebounds and four steals and Ty Hopper shot 82% from the field en route to 21 points in addition to five boards and five steals. Hopper is on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 60% in the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Kameron Reese, who went 6-for-8 on his way to 15 points and five assists.

MTI School of Knowledge dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Riverside didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 66-40 win against Providence Cristo Rey on the 29th. As for MTI School of Knowledge, they have also already played their next contest, a 72-16 defeat against Purdue Broad Ripple on the 29th.
