Softball Recap: Marriotts Ridge's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

Marriotts Ridge dropped their record down to 15-7 on Saturday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins. They lost 10-0 to the Dulaney Lions. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Marriotts Ridge has suffered since April 19th.

As for Dulaney, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 18-3. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 matches by six runs or more this season.

For Dulaney's part, Madison Schupple made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Schupple has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Chloe Renaldo was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Avery Remeto was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

As of now, neither Marriotts Ridge nor Dulaney have any future games scheduled.
