Football Game Preview: Middlesex vs. Kingswood Oxford Wyverns

Middlesex will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Kingswood Oxford Wyverns at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Middlesex is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They fell just short of Noble & Greenough by a score of 13-10 on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for Middlesex in their meetings with Noble & Greenough: they've now lost seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Kingswood Oxford gave up the first points last Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They strolled past Greenwich Country Day with points to spare, taking the game 31-12. The Wyverns pushed the score to 31-6 by the end of the third, a deficit the Tigers cut but never quite recovered from.

Middlesex better keep an eye on Justin Morle. He was instrumental in Kingswood Oxford's win, rushing for 159 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. Morle's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 103 rushing yards dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dj Biggins, who picked up 90 receiving yards and one score.

Kingswood Oxford didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. It was a group effort, with five picking up one apiece.
