Basketball Recap: Sallisaw Takes a Loss

Sallisaw's tournament run continued when they took on Okemah on Monday. The Sallisaw Black Diamonds fell 57-48 to the Okemah Panthers.

Sallisaw's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Okemah, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-4.

Sallisaw won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Checotah at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sallisaw is facing Checotah at the right time seeing as Checotah is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Okemah, they will also get right back to it: they'll take on Holdenville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Holdenville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60 points per game this season.
