Basketball Recap: Riverside-Durham Piles Up the Points Against Durham School of the Arts

Riverside-Durham won the last time they faced Durham School of the Arts and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Riverside-Durham Pirates simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Durham School of the Arts Bulldogs 70-30. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pirates.

Riverside-Durham got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Elijah Taylor out in front who posted 12 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamari Murphy, who went 6 of 7 on his way to 13 points.

Despite the loss, Durham School of the Arts had strong showings from Kingston Roberts, who had six points and five rebounds, and Shawne Dowdy, who put up 13 points.

Riverside-Durham's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Durham School of the Arts, they dropped their record down to 1-9 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverside-Durham will welcome Western Alamance at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Western Alamance's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Durham School of the Arts, they will host Excelsior Classical Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 20th.
