Softball Recap: Indian Creek Redskins vs. Edison Wildcats
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Weir, Indian Creek was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Edison Wildcats by a score of 8-5. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
McKenna Scott made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off nine hits. Scott was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Riley Sadler was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Emma Vok was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

The victory got Indian Creek back to even at 1-1. As for Edison, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Indian Creek is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Martins Ferry at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Edison, they will head out to take on East Liverpool at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
