Baseball Recap: Strawberry Crest's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

Strawberry Crest extended their postseason success on Thursday against Newsome. They came out on top against the Wolves by a score of 11-6. The Chargers' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last three games.

The team relied heavily on Brisen Tweedy, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Toby Highsmith was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Strawberry Crest always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .553. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.

Strawberry Crest moved to 19-8 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Newsome, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 20-7.
