Basketball Game Preview: University Bulldogs vs. Holy Family Tigers

The University Bulldogs will take on the Holy Family Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. University will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line.

On Friday, University got the win against Yuma by a conclusive 55-35. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 games by 20 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Addison Harding, who went 11-for-13 on her way to 24 points and five boards. What's more, she also posted an 85% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's achieved since back in February of 2024. Natalie Trujillo was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Meanwhile, Holy Family came up short against Mead on Friday and fell 58-47. While the Tigers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Mavericks 13-5 in the first quarter.

University's win was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-0. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.4 points over those games. As for Holy Family, their loss dropped their record down to 13-7.

University came up short against Holy Family in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 51-43. Can University avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
