Basketball Recap: ILTexas Arlington Takes a Loss

ILTexas Arlington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the Trinity Leadership Tigers, falling 73-41. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 63-42 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Caron McGee continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Trinity Leadership, putting up 22 points and three steals. Alvin Sims was another key player, going 6 of 10 on his way to 14 points.

ILTexas Arlington's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Trinity Leadership, they moved to 5-13 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

It'll be Battle of the Birds when the ILTexas Arlington Eagles take on the UME Preparatory Academy EAGLES on Tuesday. UME Preparatory Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.8 points per game this season. As for Trinity Leadership, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-39 victory against Dunbar on the 14th.
