Football Game Preview: Spain Park Jaguars vs. Saraland Spartans + How To Watch

Two dominant signal callers in Brock Bradley and Jamison Roberts are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Spain Park Jaguars will challenge the Saraland Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Spain Park sitting on seven straight wins and Saraland on ten.

Spain Park is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They came out on top against McAdory by a score of 24-13.

Kena Rego was the offensive standout of the game as he picked up 105 receiving yards and one score. That's the most receiving yards he has posted since back in September.

Spain Park didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Carter Holloway and Joe Cross.

Meanwhile, Saraland made easy work of Wetumpka on Friday and carried off a 49-24 victory. Considering the Spartans have won nine contests by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Saraland had a senior duo take command as Deshawn Spencer gained 192 total yards and three touchdowns and Anthonio 'Pj' Brown rushed for 128 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only ten carries. With that strong performance, Spencer is now averaging an impressive 100.6 receiving yards per game.

Saraland was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 328 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Spain Park's record now sits at 9-2. As for Saraland, their record is now 10-0.

The upcoming matchup will be a clash of competing strengths. Spain Park has relied on air attacks this season and has averaged 278.5 passing yards per game. Saraland, on the other hand, has relied on a stout run game: they average 160.4 rushing yards per game. So which strategy will prevail on Friday? There's only one way to find out.

Spain Park suffered a grim 45-19 defeat to Saraland in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. Thankfully for the Jaguars, Kj Lacey (who threw for 276 yards and four TDs while completing 73.9% of his passes, and also rushed for 110 yards and one score on only eight carries) won't be suiting up this time.
