Basketball Recap: Idalia Comes Up Short

Idalia lost against McClave back in March and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Wolves lost to the Cardinals at home by a 50-31 margin.

McClave's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Abrielle Gomez, who went 5-for-10 en route to 16 points and three steals. Gomez is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 29 games she's played dating back to last season. Addison Vallejos was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 11 points and nine steals.

Idalia's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Idalia will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Peetz at 2:00 a.m. on the 19th. As for McClave, they will take on Yuma at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
