Basalt is a perfect 10-0 against Moffat County since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Longhorns will look to defend their home pitch against the Bulldogs at 11:00 a.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Moffat County will have to contend with a Basalt squad hungry for a win, something the team hasn't seen since March 17. Basalt fell 2-0 to Roaring Fork on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Moffat County fell victim to Vail Mountain and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 8-0 to the Rangers. While losing is never fun, Moffat County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 210th, while Vail Mountain are ranked 98th).

Moffat County's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Basalt, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6-1.
