Roanoke Rapids has gone 9-1 against Franklinton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Yellowjackets will be playing at home against the Red Rams at 7:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Roanoke Rapids' favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Franklinton has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.

On Tuesday, Roanoke Rapids didn't have quite enough to beat Greene Central and fell 6-5.

Meanwhile, Franklinton can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top against J.F. Webb by a score of 5-2.

Diego Jimenez-Arellano was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Franklinton is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-15 otherwise. Jimenez-Arellano was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gavin Watson, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Conor Simpson was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Roanoke Rapids now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Franklinton, their win bumped their record up to 6-16.
