Softball Recap: King's Fork Bulldogs vs. Nansemond River Warriors

King's Fork extended their losing streak to six on Monday, dropping them down to 3-18. They came up short against the Nansemond River Warriors, falling 17-2. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by exactly 15 runs.

As for Nansemond River, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-11. Considering they have won nine games by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

For Nansemond River's part, Bailey Hare was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Hare continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Demetria Burton, who got on base in both of her plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

As of now, neither King's Fork nor Nansemond River have any future games scheduled.
