Last Friday, everything came up roses for Toronto at home against Lowellville as the squad secured a 57-26 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Red Knights.

Toronto's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brady Fair, who rushed for 76 yards, and also picked up 56 receiving yards. Fair's also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making four total tackles and defending two passes. Brody Close got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Toronto was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 221 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lowellville only rushed for 110.

Toronto's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged three passes before it was all said and done. It was truly a group effort as Close, Aiden Filby, and Zebulin Kinsey picked up one apiece. Close also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making eight total tackles and defending two passes in addition to snagging an interception which he returned one-yard for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Weir had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They strolled past Oak Glen with points to spare, taking the game 40-21.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Weir to victory, but perhaps none more so than Thomas Davidson, who rushed for 43 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 70 receiving yards.

Weir wouldn't let Oak Glen keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force five fumbles. It was a group effort, with five picking up one apiece. John Davis didn't just play on offense: he also forced a fumble and made six total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Toronto came up short against Weir in their previous meeting back in September of 2023, falling 23-12. Can Toronto avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
