Football Recap: Greensburg Central Catholic Takes a Loss

If Greensburg Central Catholic was riding high fresh off their 36-7 takedown of Leechburg last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Centurions lost to the Bishop Canevin Crusaders on the road by a 50-35 margin on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Centurions in their meetings with the Crusaders: they've now lost eight in a row.

Despite the loss, Greensburg Central Catholic still got an impressive performance from Samir Crosby, who rushed for 140 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.2 yards per carry, and also threw for 125 yards on nine of 19 attempts. Crosby really tore up the turf during one magnificent 85-yard run.

Greensburg Central Catholic now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Bishop Canevin, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

As of now, neither Greensburg Central Catholic nor the Crusaders have any future games scheduled.
