Soccer Recap: Culver City Starts Season with Loss at Home

Culver City unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Calabasas Coyotes by a score of 1-0 on Friday. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Culver City couldn't quite close it out.

The win was the third in a row for Calabasas, bringing their record up to 3-1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Culver City will host St. Genevieve at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Calabasas, they will be playing at home against Bishop Amat at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Calabasas' defense better be ready for this one: Bishop Amat have averaged an impressive 3 goals per game this season.
