Basketball Game Preview: Middle Park Panthers vs. The Pinnacle Timberwolves

Middle Park is on a four-game streak of home wins, while The Pinnacle is on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Middle Park Panthers will welcome The Pinnacle Timberwolves at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Last Thursday, everything came up roses for Middle Park against Arvada as the team secured a 72-37 victory. With the Panthers ahead 39-11 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Meanwhile, The Pinnacle made easy work of KIPP Denver Collegiate on Thursday and carried off a 75-55 win. The victory continues a trend for the Timberwolves in their matchups with the White Tigers: they've now won five in a row.

Middle Park is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points over those games. As for The Pinnacle, their win bumped their record up to 16-3.

Things could have been worse for Middle Park, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took an 84-66 loss to The Pinnacle in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Thankfully for Middle Park, Robert Mcclinton (who went 12-for-23 en route to 34 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals) won't be suiting up this time.
