Basketball Recap: North Springs Takes a Loss

North Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the St. Pius X Catholic Golden Lions, falling 74-37. The Spartans lost against the Golden Lions in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 57-54 score last time.

North Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for St. Pius X Catholic, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Looking ahead, North Springs will square off against Sprayberry at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Spartans will be up against the Yellow Jackets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 50.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for St. Pius X Catholic, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Tucker at 7:30 p.m. on December 2.
