Baseball Recap: Loudoun County's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

Loudoun County blew Tuscarora out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Tuscarora got their revenge. The Captains fell just short of the Huskies by a score of 9-7. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Jacob Martin was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Shaw, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Having lost for the first time this season, Loudoun County fell to 3-1. As for Tuscarora, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Loudoun County will square off against Briar Woods at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tuscarora, they will face off against Battlefield at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bobcats will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Huskies surely won't give up without a fight.
