Baseball Recap: Whitko Comes Up Short

Whitko was the 6-2 winner over South Adams when they last played one another on Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildcats came up short against the Starfires on Saturday, falling 15-2.

Whitko saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braxton Jackson-Powers, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Whitko has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season. As for South Adams, their record now sits at 10-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Whitko will take on Rochester at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for South Adams, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Monroe Central at 5:30 p.m. The Starfires will need to watch out since the Golden Bears have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
